Musings on the worlds of aviation, military and international affairs.

Another thorough if unedifying tome from Pen & Sword Military, timed to coincide with the centenary of the campaigns described. It is written very much from a top-down perspective, as though to assist a wargamer replicating the fastest way to conclude the Great War.
There are plenty of maps and several good period illustrations. The author gives no bibliography, but there are no personal vignettes, causing the narrative to be so dry a spark could set it alight.
Best used as a reference volume.
